Speaker #1: Fiona Taimana from Korawai

Fiona Taimana is CEO of Korawai, a wearable technology start-up with a vision of providing comfort through connectivity for those who can’t seek help themselves.

Established in 2020, the Korawai team have spent the last few years validating their first pet-care product - a dog garment using leading edge embedded technology to calm companion dogs.

Speaker #2: Kimberly Banez from Dennisson Technologies

As CTO of Dennisson Technologies, Kimberly Banez develops artificial muscles from a special material called AuraFlex. Auraflex is a super-lightweight, ultraslim, cost-effective actuator that produces motion by inducing force, similar to muscles.

MC: Mikayla Stokes

Mikayla Stokes is a mechatronics engineer at Crown Equipment making autonomous forklifts. She loves using tech to make cool wearable things like a light-up dress or 3D printed earings. She's passionate about creating an inclusive community where any kid can pursue a future in STEM, and is the two time overall female winner of the BrightSparks inventing competition.
